Let’s talk about skin. I am not a skin expert but I am a progressive learner wanting to improve my own skin and sharing my journey with you.
I have never been a skincare addict – I apply a lot of makeup most of the time and as disturbingly as it sounds, I may have lazy times that I always forget taking it out before I go to sleep at night. I know, yikes.
But as I age and so does my kids (boys) I’ve realized that I needed to set a good example to them and also look after myself if I want to age gracefully.
At age 30 ( for some its already considered late) I have only started then applying sun screen on my face every single damn day – religiously. If you are not aware yet, sunscreen has the most crucial role in our skin – it protects our skin from the harmful rays of the sun causing skin aging, discoloration, wrinkles and premature aging.
So, not just the sunscreen that plays an important role in our skin. Proper cleansing during day and night is just as important – or more. Taking off your make up every night and going to sleep with a clean face is very important – most of you or all of you knows that but are you also aware that cleansing your face and giving your face the right pamper and cleansing during the morning is just as important as doing it at night?
Yes. Lets admit that all of our pillows, sheets or whatever that surrounds us in our room is not literally spotless clean and dust free – its a hard thing to do to keep everything totally clean in your bed. When you go to sleep, your skin goes through a lot of changes and process and plus all the toxins around you, these could build up into your skin and could cause more radical damage when you are exposed out in the sun.
