Perfect Shade Of Blush This Autumn

Finding a perfect shade of blush for every skin tone is quite rare added to that – the quality of the product on your skin is a big factor – for me. With a new Airblush and Lip Dip launch, I figured I’d share a few tips with you!

Airblush is a soft-focus sheer tint with a silky matte finish. The ultra-fine pigments blend seamlessly onto your skin for a filtered flush. The packaging comes in a little round compact with mirror, very light and very easy to fit anywhere in the pouch. It comes in six buildable shades that you can use on your cheeks, eyes, lips, nose or anywhere you want a little extra color.

How to use: I use either finger tips or a beauty blender to apply directly on my skin. Its very easy to blend and very easy to build.

Lip Dip is a matte lip cream that gives you the look of soft-blurred lips with every dip. The pigmented formula applies like a cushiony mousse but finishes like a weightless moisturizing balm. It comes in nine shades that melt onto your lips with a soft-matte finish.

How to use: Apply Lip Dip straight to your lips using the applicator for a soft-blurred look. You can add another layer for full coverage. I like going through the edges of my lips with my fingers after for soft, blurry effect.

Trendy Makeup

We all love a bright and trendy makeup from time to time if not always and the secret to achieving this look is choosing the right balance of colours.

Trendy makeup (fashion, creative, editorial, etc.) takes us to our first lesson in school about colours – colour wheel. If you have a look at the chart, you will find the right balance and mixtures of colours. You need to understand the warm and cool tones and what compliments each other, because if you don’t – go figure what happens! (wink!)

Here’s my own version using warm tones for Dana.

The classic pin-up makeup originates back from 1940. This period of makeup I considered the “natural beauty” look.

This makeup look consists of:

Foundation – cream base that matched the natural skin tone. Having a sun kissed glow was popular among white women.

Compact Powder – to set the foundation

Eyes and brows – neutral contour on brow bone and lid. Eyebrows were shaped and kept full.

Eyeliner – wing effect

Blush – pastel and rose colours on the apple of the cheeks,

Lips – vibrant red and matte to look plump and full.

Todays work is Natural Matte Makeup.
Made up of powdered products – this look can be achieved by using only matte or powdered makeup – foundation and concealer must be matte, full face covered in powder, powdered blush, contour and highlight. Also, be careful when using this look for dry skin types. Make sure that you use the right hydrating cream or primer so it doesnt get too dry for the skin.
